Costa Rica Paddle Surf
The
Costa Rica Paddle Surf tour is designed for all ages and
abilities. Many people find this sport easier than surfing which
makes it so popular. It is a great full body workout,
significantly improving balance, coordination, strength and
endurance. It is a perfect way to see the beautiful coastlines
of the Central Pacific from the open waters. The area offers
several beaches which are ideal for Stand Up Paddling.
Costa Rica Stand up Paddle Surf or SUP can take place in
different wave conditions which makes this type of surfing more
flexible when choosing to participate and there is plenty of
good surf near Jaco Beach for SUP. Traditionally, most surfers
live and breath by the change in tides or swells but not so for
Stan Up Paddle surfers, they can surf in most conditions.
Stand up paddle surfing (SUP), is an old form of surfing that is
currently witnessing a rebirth in popularity. Instead of the
traditional hang-ten position, paddle surfers stand atop
specialized SUP boards, similar to a longboard, using a single
paddle to maneuver the ocean’s expanse.
Recently, more people are taking to Paddle Surfing in Costa Rica
as a mean of learning how to deal with currents and the Ocean.
In years past, this would not have been easy since the board
itself would have inhibited many people from simply carrying it
to the beach. But with modern designs and the new space
ageexpoxies, the new SUP boards are lighter and better designs
aid in water manueverability. It seems that the SUP surfing has
arrived in Jaco Beach and will stay. With SUP surfing, more and
more vacationers will have the opportunity to enjoy what board
surfers have felt for years, adrenaline and pure fun.
